I think I have a new love...his name is Positano. He's romantic, charming, plays hard to get (to), and makes you feel BEAUTIFUL!!! Aside from the hundreds of stairs climbed on a daily basis, this might be heaven on earth! It was such an honor to capture Stacy and Steve's 10 year anniversary photos in Positano, a picturesque cliff-side town on the Amalfi Coast in Italy. We actually ran into Stacy and Steve on the beach the night before their session. We talked for almost 3 hours straight like we've known each other forever! Instant friends, miles away from home. We shared stories of our faith, our business struggles, childhood, marriage, and more. Talking to Stacy is much like talking to your diary! It's this couple's sweet love, genuine hearts, and open kindness that made our trip so memorable. Sure the views were INCREDIBLE, but the conversation and fellowship was the real magic!! <3

The majority of these images were taken on film...look how the water comes to life and almost twinkles!

I can't get enough of these blue tones!!

The terrain coming from Sorrento to Positano was so reminiscent of Scotland!

Stacy, you are so beautiful!!!

This golden glowy sunset on film brings me right back to this moment! Steve and Stacy, thank you so much for giving us the honor of photographing you! Wishing you 100 more years of joy!

You guys. Have you ever had a dream come true? Big or small...it felt amazing right? Ever since the cartoon movie first came out, I was obsessed with Anastasia! We had so much in common and the story was so romantic...finding true love both with long lost family and a handsome man. Ooo la la!

"Together in Paris."

When I fell in love with photography, I dreamed of capturing the romance of Paris for a sweet couple in love. And on our most recent trip, I finally got the opportunity!!! AHHH!! Jonah and Ashley were celebrating their two year wedding anniversary in Paris and the stars aligned. We actually met on Instagram through our favorite shop - Morning Lavender! They were so generous to supply Ashley's GORGEOUS outfit!!! Tulle, blush, and bows...it doesn't get any more magical! <3

We met on the Trocadéro at sunrise. The sky was still dark and we were the first ones there. As the sun began to peek over the horizon, Ashley and Jonah shared some of the most romantic moments together with the Eiffel Tower looking on from the distance. As the city came alive before our eyes, Ashley and Jonah twirled and danced and kissed and held each other close.

"The past two years of marriage have been filled with love, laughter, tears, countless hours on the couch, playing games, cooking together, learning new things, exploring new places, and making new friends.
All of these moments are my favorite because they are spent with you.
Life is better with your best friend by your side.
Happy Anniversary Jonah Michael."

From the Eiffel Tower, we went on to explore the Tuileries Gardens, the Louvre courtyard, and the Palais Royal. These were some of my favorite spots from our first visit to Paris, and I couldn't wait to introduce Jonah & Ashley to the beauty!!

How cute is this rose gold Eiffel Tower ring?!

I'm going to let you in on a secret. I made this bouquet!!! It was like Super Market Sweep in that adorable little Parisian flower shop (hollaaa Wax Flowers!). I just kept picking until my arms were full and my eyes were happy. Thankfully I had attended Kerry Patel's Pop Up Floral Shop at Anthropologie a few months prior, so it was actually pretty easy to whip this beauty together!

Happy Anniversary Ashley & Jonah! May you keep twirling for all your years! <3

I honestly don't even know where to start with this wedding. The bride, Kristen Alyce, is the founder of Vivre Canvas Couture - an inspired line of wearable original paintings. But before that, she was my best friend. We navigated those awkward teen years together and she stood beside me as I married Chris almost 7 years ago. To be able to celebrate with Kristen and her family (my second family) was pure magic. Knowing Kristen for as long as I have, I knew this wedding would be nothing short of AMAZING. Kristen doesn't believe in the word 'no' and dreams bigger than anyone I've ever known.

So when she told me she set out to design and create not only her own wedding gown, but the gowns of her TWELVE bridesmaids...I couldn't grab my camera fast enough!!! These pieces of art surpassed all expectations! The collection was inspired by South Florida paradise - monstera leaves, banana leaves, palms, plumeria, ferns - all added to the fabric by Vivre Couture artist Amanda Wilson. Each dress, a mix of canvas, acrylic, and thick grey fabric, took more than 30 hours to create. And Kristen couldn't leave out the guys...each groomsman had a custom painted canvas bowtie to match the ladies!

The wedding as whole was very modern, using almost zero color, with stainless steel accents, tropical leaves, and an all white reception space. Just wait until you see their CLEAR tent at sunset!

"I've always dreamed of designing and making my own gown,
so this really is a dream come true!" - Kristen

It wouldn't be a proper South Florida wedding if there wasn't at least one baby lizard in sight! This one decided to camp out in Kristen's bouquet most of the day - he became her little wedding buddy!

Each dress was made for the bridesmaid’s individual style and personality. Styles ranged from asymmetrical, peplum, pleats, strapless, tank, halter, capped sleeves, and even a high-low hem!

Kristen and Roel were married at The Mansion at Tuckahoe, a historic Martin County venue overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway. Seriously, does it get more beautiful than this?!

“He makes me a better person every single day in every single way,” Kristen says.
“I could never have dreamed him up.”

When Chris LIT-trelly becomes a palm tree to create shade for "the shot!"

The centerpieces were tall palm leaves surrounded by white stones, and the tables were topped with white linens, stainless chargers, and silver accessories. All of the leaves were sourced from friend's yards!

I could live in this sunset!

And they danced the night away!!!! Kristen and Roel, I am so unbelievably happy for you two! I can't wait to see what the future has in store for Vivre Couture! (ooo I made a rhyme!)

Buckle in y'all...this is gonna be a GOOD one! Last year my prayer was that in 2017 time would slow down. Well, let's just say that prayer is still making its way up the list to be answered because 2017 went FAAAAST! Looking back, we had one of our favorite years. Not one, but TWO, destination weddings - one in the San Francisco, CA region and one near Palm Beach, FL. We've been working really hard to attract destination weddings, so my heart feels overwhelmingly grateful. We also had the chance to work at some of the most beautiful local venues - vineyards, estates, beaches, farms, and castles! Whether near or far, we feel so spoiled by ALL of our couples!

To our couples:

Chris and I are living our best life and it's thanks to you. We excitedly jump out of bed every morning because of YOU! From your first email to delivering your album and all the moments in between, you could not make me any happier. Thank you for inviting us into one of the most special times in your life. WE LOVE YOU! <3

I love this double exposure with their wedding invitation!

Goodness I love SUNSET!

This lavender field at the Wainwright House is AMAZING!

How fun would it be to arrive to your reception on a GONDOLA?! I love the Central Park Boathouse!

Martha Clara Vineyards has one of the prettiest cocktail hour lawns!

Sunset at the Avalon Yacht Club is so dreamy!

This little nook at the Hacienda de las Flores in Moraga, California was my fave!

This brick-laden solarium at the Highlands Country Club is perfect on a rainy day!

Something blue? How about EVERYTHING blue?! It was so much fun partnering with Aisle Society for the David's Bridal "Something Blue" campaign. Jessica (of Storyboard Wedding) dreamed up this entire monochromatic styled shoot. The Diana Gould Ltd team transformed the open and airy Hudson Loft into Cinderella's dream wedding. They created an incredible ceremony backdrop with brushed metal accents, soft florals, and Lucite chairs. The tablescape embraced the modern theme with shibori napkins, mismatched blue china, and a stunning "table runner" floral box. And don't even get me started on the shades of blue tassel installation surrounding a modern-minimal cake from Lulu Cake Boutique. Swoon! Laying the groundwork for the color inspiration was the bride's Melissa Sweet ice blue gown. This was so much fun to photograph, and even more fun to work with such a #DREAMTEAM!!! I especially adored our gorgeous models!

I mean, c'mon Richa...it's just not fair!

Lash envy.

Give me a sleek white cake with a floral pop any day of the week!

I think this might be my favorite photo from the whole shoot! #BOSS
