I hate odd numbers.

I look forward to years where my age ends in 2, 4, 6 or 8…and when the calendar year ends in 2, 4, 6, or 8.  Maybe I was a cheerleader for too long (don’t judge me!) or maybe we should all just admit that 3, 5, 7 and 9 are uuuuuuuuuugly numbers! :)

That being said, I really didn’t have too much hope for a year that ended with two odd numbers.  But, I will herby let the record show that I was waaaaaaaaaay wrong! Twenty-eleven was probably the best year of my little life so far! I’m still giving the credit to the 2 and the 0 though.

Let’s review a year in the life of Cassi Claire, shall we?

I got engaged (technically in 2010 – even number…oh yeah!), got married (on June 4th…I couldn’t control the year, but I could control the 6 and the 4!), officially started my full-time photography business (shot my first wedding on June 18…sensing a theme?) and moved to Brooklyn (on the 26th)!!

Wow, I shot my first wedding on June 18th?  As in, just over 6 months ago? That seems so wrong, but it’s definitely not. I have only been in business for 6 months. I guess I sort of live in a different world. A world where 6 months feels like years. A world where I fill my brain to the brim each day with creative wedding ideas, awesome poses, marking strategies, pricing tips, bookkeeping info, products, printers, new camera technology, and all of the vast internet knowledge I can get my hands on.  How is it possible that I’ve only been in this world for 6 months?

It has been an amazing 6 months, and I cannot wait to see what’s in store for 2012. With three even numbers out of four, I might be unstoppable. Feel free to watch this awesome slide-show to see some of my favorite wedding highlights from this past year…

Special Script: To my brides, thank you so much for trusting me to capture your incredible weddings. You have helped set the stage for another wonderful year and I am so grateful for your friendship!
