Were you married before the Pinterest boom? Wish you could have the chance to be a bride all over again? Same man of course! ;) Would you go with the same hair style as the first time? The same dress? Or do a complete 180?
This styled shoot features 5 wonderful and busy moms who got the chance to do it all over again...the hair, the makeup, the dress, the florals! The fabulous La Belle Mariee Bridal in Langhorne, PA was so gracious to let them play dress up all afternoon! Thank you to all the wedding professionals who volunteered their time and talents to create this dream-come-true for such a hard-working group of women! :)
First up, meet Kristin...owner of Kristin Rockhill Floral & Event Design. Kristin has been married 11 years and is the mother of all boys. She loves all things quirky, unexpected, and unconventional. I LOVE how she paired these separates to create an absolutely breathtaking and unique wedding look! See below for her before & after make-over! :)
She has been married for 8 years and is the proud mom of a rambunctious little 3 year old boy. In between being a full-time mommy, Brenda is a part-time RN and Jamberry Consultant. She originally chose a simple strapless gown for her wedding, but this time around she went with something a little more dramatic, elegant, and feminine. Her wedding day hair was rushed and she did her own makeup, so she LOVED having the chance to be pampered and all done up this time around!
Married for 8 years, Christina is a busy mom of 3 beautiful girls. She is also a full-time Dean at a local high school. In her words..."If I could get married again today, I would do things so differently! Money was a very big factor for us, so we were married in a beach town in the Fall. I would love to be married in the Spring or Summer and use all those wonderful colors! My wedding theme would be Vintage Rustic Chic! I was so against lace for my dress, but have been drawn to it while in this process. I would want my dress to be more form fitting and not as big as my original dress. My make up was very dramatic, and my hair was very traditional. I would love for natural makeup and a non traditional up do.”
Katie and her hubby have been married for 15 years! They have two awesome kids, and Katie currently works from home for the Estée Lauder Companies. She has worked very hard to keep her home, career, children, and adult life balance in check but it is exhausting. This day of pampering was exactly what she needed, especially since on her wedding day her hairstylist got sick and she was less than happy with her do. Fast-forward 15 years, would she do it exactly the same? In Katie's words, "Nope, because when you get a second chance you change it up!" She would want a similar bohemian-style dress as her original wedding dress, but in an updated style. This time, she's excited to wear her hair lose and flowy. As for make-up, I love that she says "no need to hide the laugh lines, they’ve been well worth it.”
This proud mama of two handsome little boys has been married for 9 years! Her career as a health and phys-ed teacher keeps her busy but doesn’t allow much of an opportunity to glam it up. Mindy says...“If I were to recreate my wedding today, I would love to have bolder make-up, not so simple! Also, more FUN hair! I have tight, thick, natural curly hair, and I don’t have many options. I didn’t want to take the chance of straightening it just in case it rained on my wedding day (frizz is not my friend). Therefore, I used my natural curls and just pinned it half up half down. I would love to use my OWN curls in a more stylish, creative way that screams glam!"
