I love NYC and I love Groupon and I love CHOCOLATE! This fall Christopher and I went on Celebrity Planet's Chocolate Tour for only $15 per person thanks to Groupon! And man, it was worth so much more! I couldn't even think about chocolate by the time it was over. Of course, plenty of time has passed...so now I'm craving it. Think I'll have some Cocoa Pebbles after I click "publish." We started the tour at Chelsea Market's Jacques Torres - famous for their Wicked Hot Chocolate. It was thick and creamy with a tiny kick of chili peppers....Mmmm I love spicy chocolate!
Next up was Lilac Chocolates. Here they taught us how to properly enjoy chocolate - no chewing allowed!
The Chocolate Bar has ADORABLE branding! I wanted to buy everything! Here we tasted some salted chocolate - not my fave. In fact, I hated it. But that's not their fault - I just hate salt. Same reason I can't drink margaritas! Oh, that guy on the right? He was our tour guide! Very nice and very informative!
Recognize that house on the right? It's the apartment from Friends!! How cool would it be to live there!? Or maybe not...you'd have to deal with weirdos like me taking pictures all the time.
Mmm, Milk & Cookies was a great stop! Too bad it followed the meal we had at Magnolia. After a giant cupcake, a giant cookie almost put me over my sugar limit! I just wish they had actually given us milk too! :)
Next we had cannolis at Pasticceria Bruno! Personally, I'm not a fan of cannolis. But Chris loves them and swears it was the best cannoli he's ever had. And they beat Bobby Flay in a cannoli throwdown, so they must be good!
Trying to explain "back button focusing" to a stranger never really works...but I think we're even cuter out of focus! :)
This one is fun to say...well, fun to pretend how to say. I actually haven't the faintest idea how to pronounce it! I pretend the X is a Z and that's fun. Xocolatti's (ZZZZZZocolatti's!) had the coolest name AND the coolest store! Their chocolate is a work of art!
And our last stop was at Vosges Haut-Chocolate. Beautifully decorated and they had bacon flavored chocolate - automatic win. Oh, Christopher...you think you are so funny trying to impersonate me! Okay, time for Cocoa Pebbles!! :)
