You hear the phrase "ideal client" thrown around a lot in the photography industry...how to attract the ideal client, does your ideal client know you exist...and to be honest, the phrase always seemed a little silly to me. I genuinely get along with most people, so how could any one person define "ideal client?"  Keri, you are the definition of my ideal client. I will never forget opening one of her first emails...

"I have literally been looking for a photographer for months. I have researched and met with numerous photographers but none of them felt quite right. The photographer I booked for the engagement shoot was just wonderful, but merely days after our shoot she moved across the country and its too expensive to fly her out. You are exactly what I have been looking for."

I remember reading that email out loud to my husband and squealing with excitement! I knew I would love Keri just from the way she wrote her emails...like she wrote “Thanks!” and not “thx.” And because she “laughed” in her emails like I do. Not “lol” but literally writing out “hahaha” in the middle of a sentence and not caring that it’s not grammatically correct. And my email-foo proved strong when we got together at Panera for lunch and wedding talk. We paused our laughter for only a few seconds to go over the event timeline…and I’m pretty sure Dan found some way to make that funny as well!

Shortly after we met, Keri and her wonderful friend Krista started a much-needed blog for us east coasters called The East Coast Bride. Now that we were both "officially" in the wedding industry, we had even more fun together! Including working together on a styled shoot that was featured on StyleMePretty (swoon!). Keri and Krista are incredible event planners as well...which leads me to the wedding! The event of all events! After visualizing Keri's dream wedding through email descriptions, it was AMAZING to see it all come to life!

Swoon-worthy invitations via Wedding Paper Divas. But of course, being the crafty woman she is, Keri swapped out the white envelopes for pink and grey, created the custom chevron monogram, and bought bakers twine to tie them all together.

The Madison Hotel is one of my favorite new venues, thanks to its giant room full of glass windows! And I love love love all of Keri’s garden-inspired details!

Recognize the couple below left? It was so much fun to see Dan and Gill again after their gorgeous May wedding!! :)
