LE CHATEAU WEDDING, SOUTH SALEM NY

JOHN & MICHELLE

JOHN & MICHELLE

This wedding has been featured on Classic Bride Blog!

Michelle spent the morning of her wedding getting ready in her childhood bedroom, her four-poster bed perfectly centered in the light-filled room. Before putting on her dress, she popped champagne with her best friends in the front lawn she once ran around with bare feet. And during her First Look with her father, Michelle walked gracefully down the staircase she’d raced down a hundred times before. There is something so magical about getting ready in the home that created you. The home that nurtured you and was the backdrop for all of your earliest memories. What a beautiful way to transition into the next phase of your life!

Michelle and John’s vision for their wedding day was “Romantic Summertime.” Bridesmaids wore soft blue dresses and groomsmen wore black tuxes. Spray roses, dusty miller, loose greenery, glass orbs, warmly lit candles, and tones of white, cream, and champagne set the romantic stage for the day. After their ceremony at St. Paul Church in Greenwich, Connecticut, the couple journeyed to their reception at Le Château.

Le Château sits high on a hillside in South Salem, New York. This stunning venue just went through a $10M renovation and now boasts a grand, elegant ballroom filled with natural light and ornate details. While the ballroom began its legacy recently, the rest of the building holds tight to its history and design that would be virtually impossible to duplicate today. American chestnut, hand detailed woodwork, grand staircases, and massive stone fireplaces are all reminders of an era long past. Much like this building, we pray that John and Michelle’s relationship will always remember the history while building a beautiful future! Congratulations!!!

The first look with Dad is my favorite!

When I asked John about his first impression of Michelle, he said he loved that she was so smiley and bright! “The first night I met her, I don't think she stopped smiling the entire evening!” And she’s rarely stopped smiling since!

Love reuniting with past couples! There’s no greater compliment than when my past couples share my name with their friends!! Thank you Liz and Jack!!! We love you! <3

Obsessed with this renovated ballroom! The French-inspired architecture really lives up to the name “Le Chateau!” And just wait until you see the four-tier floral and gold-leaf decked wedding cake by DiMare Pastry Shop!

Love ending the night with sparklers! Congrats Michelle and John!!!
