PARK AVENUE CLUB WEDDING: BRIGID & BRIAN

BRIGID & BRIAN

BRIGID & BRIAN

Pandemic weddings. These are two words that should never be associated with each other. Throughout all of 2020, we saw couples faced with making one hard decision after another. We saw couples downsize their guest list, switch the venue to their backyard, and postpone until better days. I silently wondered what each couple would choose to do - which plan would best reflect them. But I never once worried about October 9, 2020.

“Brian and I realize that marrying one another is the key to this day and we will go forward with this.” - Brigid

Brigid knew that all of her plans were subject to change and that every decision would be last minute, which honestly must have been pretty stressful, for I know her to be a highly-organized planner. But I think her expert organization skills are what enabled her to pull off her dream wedding while also brainstorming several backup plans. Thankfully, with just a few small tweaks due to health restrictions, Brigid and Brian were able to have the wedding of their dreams at BOTH of their original venues. Their ceremony was held at Notre Dame of Mt. Carmel and their reception was held outdoors at the Park Avenue Club.

Their vision for the day was rustic meets elegant. They chose an elevated fall color palette, with Jenny Yoo’s “Cinnamon Rose” bridesmaids gown as the base color. This soft, subdued burgundy was the perfect nod to fall while still embracing neutrals and elegance. Jardiniere Fine Flowers used that same palette to create a show-stopping bouquet for the bride. At the reception, guests were greeted with an assortment of fun lawn games and His & Hers Specialty Cocktails. Every little detail was perfection and I’m so happy that Brigid and Brian were able to have the wedding of their dreams!

I always tear up watching the bride read a letter from her groom! <3

Notre Dame of Mt. Carmel handled the indoor ceremony wonderfully!

Casual.

I call this pose “the Flying V” (eh hem, Mighty Ducks) and when I shared that name with the groomsmen, they immediately broke into the most epic chorus of QUACK, QUACK, QUACK, QUACK! It was glorious!

This statue in the fountain is very special to Brigid and Brian, so we obviously had to incorporate her!

These flower girls brought the party wherever they went!

I literally don’t even care that I got beer on my dress because these photos are EPIC!!!

Congratulations Brigid and Brian!!!
